Campaign for Life Support Raises $180,000
|Life Support is more grateful than ever for your overwhelming generosity in place of the annual dinner auction this year due to COVID-19. We remain steadfast in serving Upper Kittitas County, but more importantly, we are committed to helping you.|
Life Support’s heart has always been the people of our communities, travelers of I-90, and recreational users in the surrounding region. Your safety and well-being are our priority.
Every day 911 calls are being answered from strokes, heart attacks, commercial trucks and car accidents, fires, trauma, and more. Because of your generosity, Kittitas County Fire District 7 is better equipped to respond, and mutual aid departments benefit too from the EMS supplies.
Because of You, the initial campaign launch raised $54,000, then the unexpected happened. Roger and Cindy Jobs committed a dollar for dollar match up to $50,000. Their generosity was rewarded; a total of $56,000 was raised! Including the generosity of Safeway $10,000 and Puget Sound Energy $15,000 contributions. Jobs inspired two additional dollars for dollar $5,000 match. One from PEMCO, and one from the Hewson Family for a total of $20,000.
Your support provided:
* Holmatro Hydraulic equipment to extricate people from crashes. Thank You!
* Specialized equipment & training for water & steep embankment rescues. Thank You!
* PPE SCBA Turn out gear to protect the first responders. Thank You!
* Tools for fighting vehicles, trucks, wildland, and personal property fires. Thank You!
* 4×4 Rescue Truck for quicker response in more remote rescues. Thank You!
* EMS supplies. Thank You!
Because of You, we are better prepared to help those in their time of need. Finally, the first responders want to say thank you and tell you how much they appreciate you. Times like these are overflowing with people who are kind, generous, and faith-filled. Resilience to overcome and with a heart to serve others is inspiring. We’re all in this together.
Thank you, everyone, for becoming part of the Life Support 2020 Campaign family.
